We were proud to have been a part of this extraordinary night- The Farm to Fork Dinner at Norwell Farms. It was a kicking’ party with great energy, a beautiful setting, delicious food, and dangerously tasty craft cocktails. Our advice is to mark your calendars next year- You won’t want to miss it. Hats off to our friends at Norwell Farms for doing it so right.
Chef Sam created a Norwell Farms Heirloom Tomato and Roasted Corn Salad with Goat Cheese Crema and Peekytoe Crab Salad, served on toasted Francese bread… a delicious taste of late summer.
The farmers we have to thanks for reminding us what real fruits and vegetables can taste like…. the lovely Elise and Scott Franklin, looking dashing in their decidedly unfarmer garb.
“Like kissing the sea on the lips.” – Léon-Paul Fargue
We don’t quote French poets lightly, but we’ve never heard a better description for eating oysters… and around here, we’ve got some love for the sea. So pucker up- We’re shucking $1 OYSTERS MONDAY-FRIDAY 4:30 TO 6:30 AT THE BAR. Eat them pure or with a dab of Chef Sam’s cucumber mignonette, washed down with glass of bubbly or chilled Albarino- There just ain’t no better way to start a meal. …We’re pretty sure a French poet said that too. If you love all things oysters, read on… READ MORE

A Restaurant’s Take: Cohasset’s The Corner Stop Serves Wings, Italian-Style November 9, 2014
“With a stone fireplace and cozy sofas in the barroom, The Corner Stop in Cohasset bills itself as a friendly neighborhood spot, but that description belies its refined yet comforting modern American fare. A chicken wings appetizer, finished with an agrodolce glaze, ranks as a customer favorite. The Italian glaze, a reduction of red wine, vinegar, brown sugar, red onion, and crushed red pepper, brings a little heat. As the menu says, angry and sweet.”
We’re lighting the fireplace and warming up our menu with fall goodies. Settle in with our new Bar Bites board, Shrimp ‘n’ Grits, and Lamb Pops, then you can move on to Seared Scallops with sweet potato gnocchi, pickled beets and fennel salad or Pan Seared LI Duck Breast with five spice rub, bacon braised kale, johnny cakes and cider bbq sauce… just to name a few. You can check out all the menu changes under Eat + Drink.
It ain’t summer until you’ve had one of these… Heirloom tomatoes grown in Hyannis, burrata cheese, fresh basil, cracked salt, and a drizzle of reduced balsamic and basil oil. Perfect in its simplicity and a study in how sometimes less is more… especially when you’ve got tomatoes this good.
